MG Deathscythe EW Announced

– New type of XXX-G Frame derived from Wing Gundam to be used, which will eventually be shared by the 4 non-transformable Gundam Wing MSs – Gundam Deathscythe, Shenlong Gundam, Gundam Heavyarms and Gundam Sandrock.
– Snap mechanism incorporated for the hand unit to hold the weapon firmly.
– Beam effect part included for the claw deployment of the Buster Shield.
– Beam scythe can be mounted onto the backpack.
– Weapons and accessories: beam scythe, Buster Shield, beam part for Buster Shield.
– 15 runners in total. Comes with marking seal and Gundam Decal (designed by Hajime Katoki-sensei).
– September release, 3,990 Yen (inclusive of tax).

So I can safely assume that means the other Wing boys will have their MG treatments as well? One thing I’m confused though… the name says “EW” (which I assume it means Endless Waltz) but it is not the “Deathscythe Hell” and it comes with a Buster Shield so does it mean it will be the Deathscythe in the image above? Then it wouldn’t fit in with the new MG Wing, but the Wing Ver. Ka instead. I think we can safely assume it’ll be the Deathscythe Ver. Ka since it has decals designed by Katoki (hahah red warning labels anyone?). Gotta love the low price point too BUT… I’ll wait for them to add “Hell” in. I need them wings! :D

Review! MG Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth Ver. Ka!

I kid you not. The title is not misleading. Here it is (finally), My MG Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth Ver. Ka review! xD Hope none of you actually fell for the prank that I was actually building two seperate models ^^;;. I found a better way and killed two birds with one stone.

Anyway, *is very drowsy* It’s 5:00 AM right now and I have work at 10:00 AM… Been up since “last night” typing up this review sooooo….*crashes*

New Gunpla Display Stand

Like I’ve mentioned in my previous post, a friend of mine got me some new display stands from Japan ^^. Yay! I finally have one of those sophisticated looking display stands that various Japanese Gunpla blog uses (funny thing is… I can’t recall any sites off the top of my head at the moment ^^;). Sadly, they didn’t quite turn out to be what I thought they were. The black rod is extremely solid and balances the model well enough but the ring that holds the model… isn’t adjustable! Not to mention it sticks out in photos D:

I asked for one of these since I thought the way it holds the model might allow for some fresh new poses that I couldn’t do with the other bases that holds the model on the crotch. It really does the job though… the ring has a firm grip but…again… It’s not adjustable! Making it hard for it to hold other models properly (Unicorn). Not recommending this thing yet until I’ve warmed up to it over time. I’ll also make a page of my display stands later since I get the same question many times (“what stand is that?”). Here’s a pose that was made possible with this stand…

Sure I could’ve just rotated a normal upright photo but… it’s just not the same :P. The other base is for 1/144 since it is a lot smaller but nice to see that it has adjustable rings. So.. Would you sacrifice a little photo aesthetic for newer dynamic poses?

*goes back to the photoshoot*

One last preview before I write up the review later tonight… ^^

MG Crossbone Gundam X-1 Ver. Ka

Some people were torn between deciding on either the Full Cloth or the Ver. Ka of the Crossbone Gundam X-1. Some favored the Ver. Ka and some rooted for the Full Cloth. Some had no idea and wanted me to review both… so I thought “Eh.. why not…” and so here I am (on an impulse)… working on a “Crossbone Gundam X-1 Ver. Ka” (Kai in this case since I couldn’t resist that awesome skull…) right after finishing the “Full Cloth”. The two are the exact same model (obviously). Only that the Ver. Ka is infested with you-know-what and ever oh so slight aesthetic differences on the head (Top vent, side vent, scars, mouth, and chin). Makes you want to think “why even bother?” and praise them for being so detailed at the same time xD.

Fix Figurations

Now that I’m done reviewing all my GFFs, I was finally able to reorganize my display shelves a bit. Here are some quick photos I took. Think of this as a “closing ceremony” to showcase my line-up. xD

Right Tower

My other Deep Striker

The two Zeta Plus, Full Armor ZZ Gundam, and the first Ex-S Gundam

Ex-S Gundam Taskforce Alpha, Full Armor Gundam Mk II, Nu Gundam HWS, FA Hyaku Shiki Kai

That one thing from Odysseus Gundam, Nobel Gundam, Xi Gundam, God Gundam

Gundam X, Gundam G05, the two F91, GP04, and Wing Ver. ka

Left Tower

Cannot fit inside the case for an obvious reason

We all know who this is

Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth, X-2 and X-3. HARRR!

A clear RX-78-2 Ver. Ka, Not-so-Perfect Gundam, FA Gundam with the blues, and FA “love child of Zeta and Gundam Mk II” Gundam Mk III
And an empty shelf in the event I ever get another GFF again (hello there, 1/100 Zeta Plus…) but this is all for now. So yea… all my stuff gets shelved after reviews with a good chance that I’ll probably never take out again ^^;
